As you probably know, MP3 players are the newest thing in convenience for music listening pleasure. Man people across the globe take their MP3 players with them wherever they go. When they are walking out the door they grab their keys, cell phones and MP3 player.

 

These small devices give people the ability to listen to the music they want when they want. They can store a variety of music on one small device and listen while they are exercising, traveling on a plane, boat or train. Because of the small design and large storage capacity you can easily bring all of your music with you and leave it in your pocket.

Some MP3 players use batteries and other players have the ability to charge directly off of a computer. For the MP3 players that need batteries, the majority of them can use rechargeable batteries. This can save you a substantial amount of money over time, especially if you will be listening to your device on a daily basis. If you are not using rechargeable batteries you might want to avoid using cheap batteries. You should use only batteries that are designed for electronics such as cameras and MP3 players. This will give you a longer life to the battery. Generally with quality batteries you can expect your MP3 player to work for about 8 hours minimum and up to 20 hours. However, the storage and amount of usage the of the individual player will be weighing factor in the life of the batteries.

The most popular type of files that can be downloaded onto an MP3 player are the MP3 files. However, many players are also capable of supporting other files as well. Some of the other files that are supported are WAV, AAC, and WMA. Although many players have the capability to play with these files, you should check your paperwork to find out exactly the types of files your player can use and ones that it can not.

You will need to install special software on your computer in order to transfer the files to the Mp3 player. This is fairly easy to do, however you need to follow the instructions carefully that came with your player.

You are going to need to have some type of music management software installed on your computer. This will transfer the files into formats that can be transferred onto the MP3 player and listened to. This will also organize the music you are going to convert and have converted.

You can use the internet to download MP3 files to put on your player or you can use CD's that you already own. However, if ou are going to be using CD's you have to rip them into your computer so they can be converted into MP3 files and then transferred to the player.
